WORCESTER - Constance M. Monson, 76, of Delawanda Drive, died Sunday November 16, 2008, at UMass Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus, after a short illness. She is survived by her brother, Lenny Monson Jr. and his wife Christine of Oxford; her sister, Louise B. Christie of Worcester; three nephews, one niece, three great nephews, and four great nieces. She also leaves her extended family and friends from Prosser Place Apartments, Seven Hills Foundation, Worcester. She was predeceased by a brother, Lennart Monson of Worcester who died in 1941. She was born in Newark, NJ, on May 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Howard L. and Pearl L. (Berthiaume) Monson, and was a lifelong resident of Worcester, spending her last 20 years as part of the Seven Hills Foundation Program. She attended Worcester Public Schools. Miss Monson was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Worcester. She enjoyed crafts, especially ceramics and tatting. She collected glass figurines and enjoyed cooking and baking brownies. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 41 Whitmarsh Ave., Worcester. Burial will follow at All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Wednesday, November 19, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to the Seven Hills Foundation for Prosser Place Apartments, 81 Hope Ave., Worcester, MA 01603, or to the St. Francis Adult Day Health Program, 101 Plantation St., Worcester, MA 01604.
