Claire Zamaites

WEBSTER – Claire M. (Bishop) Zamaites, 65, of Pleasant Street, died Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Webster Manor in Webster. She is survived by her husband, Joseph A. Zamaites of Webster; her son, Christian M. Aldrich and his wife Sharon of Webster; three brothers, William V. Bishop of Florida, Michael R. Bishop and his wife Kathleen of Oxford, and John P. Bishop and his wife Lisa of Millbury; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. She was born in Ware, daughter of the late William V. and Rita M. (Roy) Bishop, and lived in Westborough and Newport, VT, before moving to Webster in 1981. She graduated from Westborough High School in 1968.

Mrs. Zamaites worked at Westborough State Hospital for many years, retiring in 2013. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Webster. She enjoyed watching Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, and her favorite soap operas on television. She liked to go dancing with her husband and had a special place in her heart for Vermont.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Please meet directly at the church. Memorial calling hours are Wednesday, March 2, 2016, from 5-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 01701.
