Claire Nesta

Claire Nesta, 83, of June St., Oxford died peacefully at St. Vincent's Hospital on December 22, 2007. She is survived by her sister Sophia, brother, Yarno, his wife Sophie, their son John, his wife Elaine and sons James and Andrew. She was predeceased by her parents Angelo and Thespina (Prifty) Nesta, her brother Johnny and her sister Mary. Claire attended Oxford Public Schools, graduating as salutorian of her class in 1942. She attended Clark University and made a career with Paul Revere Insurance Company, retiring as Director of Group Accounting. Claire was a member of the Worcester Chapter of the American Business Woman's Association, and served as Chairwomen of the vocation committee. Claire will be sadly missed by her loving family, friends and caretakers. She will be remembered for her wit, honesty and as a caring and capable person. A funeral will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2007, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a service at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury St., Worcester. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Wednesday, December 26, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, with a Trisagion service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary's Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury St., Worcester, MA 01609, or to the American Stroke Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
