Cindy Stafford

February 20, 1961 — May 24, 2013

WOODSTOCK, CT - Cindy M. (Long) Stafford, 52, of Route 171, died Friday, May 24, 2013, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence in Worcester, after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, James H. Stafford of Woodstock; two children, James R. Stafford and Rebecca R. Stafford, both of Woodstock; her mother, Shirley (Evans) McKusick of Putnam; a sister, Janice Braun of Florida; three brothers, Gary Glass of Massachusetts, Gregory Glass of Portland, CT, and Martin McKusick of Massachusetts; and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Manchester, CT, the daughter of the late Elwood McKusick, and lived in Oxford and Thompson, CT, before moving to Woodstock 14 years ago. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1979 and Fitchburg State College in 1983. Mrs. Stafford was a medical technician at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam and UMass Medical Center in Worcester for over 26 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her children were her pride and joy. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Monday, June 3, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
