WEBSTER – Charles E. St. Germain, 79, of Brook Street, died Friday, April 5, 2024, in his home. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Theresa M. (Hedge) St. Germain who died in 2023. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn M. Canterbury and her husband Mont of Webster; a brother, Lester Wentworth and his wife Vivian of Thompson, CT; a sister, Irene Vancellette and her husband Stanley of Amherst, NH; his granddaughter, Mikaela E. Jones and her husband Timothy of Brimfield; and his great-grandson, Julien Jones of Brimfield.
He also leaves behind many beloved brothers- and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and cousins; as well as many beloved friends, including Marshall, Roger, Kenny, Mike, Joe, Wally, Ed, Frank, Steve, and Baines. There are many, many more that he held close to his heart.
He was born and raised in Oxford, son of the late Joseph E. and Myrtle (Bennett) St. Germain, and lived in Charlton before moving to Webster in 2021. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Mr. St. Germain owned and operated St. Germain Auto Wrecking in Oxford for over 40 years. He enjoyed building cars and loved owning the junk yard.
He enjoyed spending time with all of his family, telling stories, figuring out family history, playing cars with the kids, and teaching them how to take cars apart and put them back together. He loved his family very much.
The family would like to thank Salmon Health Care, especially Julie, Shelly, and Jason, for taking exceptional care of him and providing support to his family.
Memorial calling hours are Friday, April 12, 2024, from 5-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at North Cemetery in Oxford.
