Cathy Anderson

OXFORD - Cathy F. (O'Donnell) Anderson, 63, of Sunset Avenue, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, December 3, 2011. She is survived the love of her life, her husband of 43 years, Russell B. Anderson Jr. of Oxford; four children, Kelly M. Anderson of Thompson, CT, Russell B. Anderson III and his significant other Kathlene LaFountain of Webster, Michael J. (Mikey Doo) Anderson of Putnam, CT, and Sadye B. Grochowski and her husband T.J. of Webster; two brothers, Robert A. Miller and Gary L. O'Donnell, both of Worcester; a sister, Melissa A. O'Donnell of Worcester; and seven grandchildren, Tony, Russell IV, Michael, Hunter, Delaney, Caleb, and Emma. She was predeceased by three brothers, Harold R. O'Donnell Jr., Elwood Westcott Miller, and James E. Miller. Cathy was born on October 19, 1948, in New London, CT, the daughter of the late Harold R. and Melissa M. (McLaney) O'Donnell, and lived in New London and Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1975. She graduated Commerce High School in Worcester. Mrs. Anderson was a C.N.A. at Sandalwood Nursing Home in Oxford for nearly 20 years, retiring in 2004. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cookouts at her pool, and loved shopping at the Dollar Store. For most of her life, she was a homemaker and cared for her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and everything she did was for those around her, from her family to the residents at Sandalwood Nursing Home. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The KID will ALWAYS LOVE AND MISS his KAT. Rest in peace, baby girl. Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Paradis Funeral Home, Oxford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
