WEBSTER – Catherine E. (Severy) Gustafson, 97, of Thompson Road, died peacefully at Webster Manor Nursing Home in Webster, after a short illness. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Kenneth A. Gustafson who died in 2016. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, who cared for her over the last few years after her husband passed away; as well as great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, two brothers, a half-sister, and a half-brother. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Morris S. and Catherine T. (Barry) Severy, and lived in North Grafton for many years before moving to Webster in 2010.
Mrs. Gustafson worked at General Electric for 25 years. Later, she owned and operated Swiss Line Products in Millbury with her husband, retiring in 1988. In her younger years, she loved riding her motorcycle with her husband, they enjoyed traveling on motorcycles throughout the country and together they were members of the Friendly Motorcycle Club. She also enjoyed camping with her nieces and nephews when they were young. Mrs. Gustafson loved reading, coloring, trips to the casino and loved all animals especially her beloved cats and dogs she had throughout her life.
A private graveside service will be held at Hope Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Veteran's Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605, or to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
