Carter Lolax

April 16, 2012 — January 21, 2014

SUTTON - Carter Tower Lolax, 21 months, of Singletary Avenue, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at home in his mother's arms, after a courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia. He is survived by his devoted and loving parents, Daniel A. and Samantha L. (Mahan) Lolax of Sutton; his adoring sister, Ivy Elizabeth Lolax of Sutton; his maternal grandparents, Karen Mahan and David Buduo of Auburn, and Sean Mahan of Millbury; his paternal grandparents, Theresa and Richard Lolax of Auburn; his maternal great grandmother, Ivy D. Tower of Millbury; his paternal great grandmothers, Signe J. Johnson of Holden and Elizabeth F. Detloff of Nebraska; his aunt, Stephanie M. Mahan and uncle, John Teevan of Charleston, SC; his uncle, Joshua P. Lolax and his wife Crystal of Charlton; many cousins, including Rachel and Courtney Lolax of Charlton; his godfather, Timothy Fahnestock of Spencer; and many caring aunts and uncles. He was born in Worcester on April 16, 2012, and lived his entire life in Sutton. Carter enjoyed all the little things that toddlers love to do. He loved music and dancing and had awesome rhythm. He loved being outside, even in the cold and swinging on swings and the endless search for the moon. He loved cruising the yard on his dad's tractor. And being a typical boy loved tormenting his big sister. Most of all though Carter loved his Mom. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the 5th Floor at UMass and on the 6th Floor at Boston Children's Hospital for the exceptional care given to Carter throughout his treatment. They would also like to express their gratitude to the outpouring of generosity from so many of the community in their support and contributions to "Cure for Carter." Calling hours are Sunday, January 26, 2014, from 2-6 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A private funeral service for friends and family will be held on Monday, followed by burial at Central Cemetery in Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Why Me & Sherry's House, 1152 Pleasant Street, Worcester, MA 01602.
