DUDLEY - Carol A. (Collier) Costello, 65, of Konkel Drive, died Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Oakwood Nursing Home in Webster, from complications from surgery. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Daniel D. Costello of Dudley; her daughter, Erica A. Costello and her husband George Gjinnis of Worcester; her mother-in-law, Helen (Parks) Costello of Worcester; her brother, David Collier of Worcester; her sister-in-law, Beth Bisceglia of Worcester; her two closest friends, Janet Moran of North Brookfield and Barbara Beck of Holden; and was loved by children, as she could always bring out the best in young people. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Terrah and Dorothy (Ball) Collier, and lived in Worcester before moving to Dudley 26 years ago. She graduated from Burncoat High School and Worcester State University in Worcester. Mrs. Costello worked for UMass Memorial Healthcare in Worcester for many years, retiring in 2010. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Oxford. She enjoyed knitting, reading, going to Cape Cod, and spending time with her dogs. A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Carol's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Grace Episcopal Church, 270 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private at a later date. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, 270 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540. Paradis Funeral Home in Oxford is assisting with the arrangements.
