Bryan Jewell, Sr.

NORTH OXFORD - Bryan H. Jewell Sr., 71, of North Oxford, died peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2011, in his home. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandra M. (Harrington) Jewell; three sons, Bryan H. Jewell Jr. and his wife Lisa of Oxford, Roger D. Jewell and his wife Rhonda of Spring Hill, FL, and David M. Jewell and his wife Sandi of Lake Villa, IL; two granddaughters, five grandsons, one great granddaughter, and eight nieces and nephews. He was born in Easton, ME, the son of the late Harold and Verna (Hersey) Jewell. He lived in Easton, ME, and Auburn before moving to North Oxford 49 years ago. He graduated from Auburn High School in 1957. Mr. Jewell was a heavy equipment operator for Local 4 Union in Boston for 50 years, retiring in 2004. He was an avid stock car racing fan and a wonderful family man. A funeral and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
