OXFORD – Beverly Ann (Boucher) Hanson, 79, died Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Richard G. Hanson who died in 2020. She is survived by four children, Raymond J. Lizotte Jr. of Plymouth, Steven E. Lizotte of Charlton, Denise M. Ford of Worcester, and Cheryl A. Loughlin of Oxford; a stepdaughter, Deborah Johnson and her husband William of Jamestown, NY; two brothers, Robert A. Boucher and his wife Sandra, and Philip E. Boucher and his wife Marcia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Dorothy Lucier of Auburn. She was predeceased by a son, Paul F. Lizotte who died in 1965; a brother, George J. Boucher Jr. who died in 2022; and a granddaughter, Nicole A. Ford who died in 2014.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late George J. and Anna B. (Premont) Boucher, and lived in Worcester for 35 years before moving to Oxford in 1980. She received her associate’s degree from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester in 1975.
Mrs. Hanson was an executive secretary for UMass Memorial Medical Center for 15 years, retiring in 2015. Previously, she worked at Youth Opportunities Unlimited, Inc., for 20 years. She was an active member of St. Roch’s Church in Oxford, where she served as a Eucharistic minister, was a member of the Soul Sisters, and volunteered for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, and baking for her grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024, at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. Calling hours are Friday from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, prior to the Mass.
