WEBSTER - Betty J. (Phillips) Baldwin, 74, of Whitcomb Street, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI, of complications from a stroke. She is survived by five children, Debra A. LaBuff of Webster, with whom she lived, Steven M. Farrar of Vermont, Kenneth B. Baldwin of Dudley, Francis R. Baldwin Jr. of Worcester, and Charles C. Baldwin of Webster; two brothers, Charles Phillips and Donald Phillips, both of Maryland; a sister, Catherine McClellan of Maryland; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis R. Baldwin Sr. who died in 2004; and a son, David J. Farrar. She was born in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late Charles and Kelso (Harler) Phillips, and lived in Oxford for most of her life before moving to Maryland and Webster. Mrs. Baldwin worked at Astra Pharmaceuticals for many years, retiring in 2000. Calling hours are Monday, December 20, 2010, from 1-5 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private. There is no funeral service planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Boston MA-NH Office, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
