Barbara Soly

OXFORD - Barbara A. Soly, 74, of Aspen Drive, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation - Oakwood, in Webster. She is survived by three grandchildren, Danielle S. Page, Steven J. Germain, and Mark A. Germain; five great grandchildren, Trinity L. Page, Alexis A. Germain, Kaden M. Germain, Hannah Germain, and Mason Germain; a brother, Gene Soly of Florida; a sister, Dolores Fennerty of Texas; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah S. Germain, who died in 2007; and a sister, Claudette Gibson. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Dolor G. and Albina M. (Bombard) Soly, and lived in Oxford for the past 40 years. Ms. Soly was an accountant at Country Candle Company in Millbury, retiring several years ago. Previously, she worked at Anderson's in Worcester for 28 years. She was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford and enjoyed going to the Oxford Senior Center. She participated in the adopt-a-grandparent program at the Chaffee school, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Friday, January 10, 2014, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
