Barbara Dionne

AUBURN - Barbara C. Dionne, 80, of Green Street, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015, in her home surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Ernest C. Dionne of Auburn; four children, Cheryl Bullard of Worcester, Rhonda Sanchez of Auburn, Edward Friel of Leicester, and Kathleen Abasciano of Auburn; one brother, George Nilsson of Boylston; five sisters, Lillian Lambos of Worcester, Marjorie Taylor of Worcester, Virginia Mason of Worcester, Violet Jablonski of Fitchburg, and Shirley Mondor of Auburn; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brother William Nelson. She was born in Worcester the daughter of the late Conrad Nelson and Syster (Johanson) Anderson, and lived in Worcester before moving to Auburn 19 years ago. Mrs. Dionne enjoyed music and singing, and sang with the Ray Stone Orchestra many years ago. She liked crafts, going to the beach, and working in the garden. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at All Faiths Cemetery, Island Road, Worcester, followed by a gathering. There are no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be announced at a later date. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
