OXFORD - Barbara (Smith) Cameron, 94, formerly of Park Street, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at the Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, James S. Cameron of Oxford who died in 2001. She is survived by her son, James L. Cameron and his wife Diane of Charlton; her daughter, Priscilla Mathurin and her husband Francis of Oxford; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, Sydney Smith of Manchester, CT, and Donald Smith of Sutton. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Sydney F. and Susanna (Hargraves) Smith, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1934. Mrs. Cameron graduated from Oxford High School in 1936 and Becker Business School in Worcester in 1938. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Oxford and a member of the Women's Fellowship. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at the First Congregational Church, 355 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private at North Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church, P.O. Box 585, Oxford, MA 01540. Paradis Funeral Home in Oxford is assisting with the arrangements.
