Barbara Bundeff

OXFORD – Barbara L. (Nelson) Bundeff, 75, of Charlton St., died Monday, March 5, 2007, at the Life Care Center of Auburn, after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Chester Bundeff of Oxford; two daughters, Lori L. Derusha and her husband Leonard of Thompson, CT, and Brooke L. Gaylord and her husband Franklyn of Charlton; a brother, Arthur Nelson of Oxford; two sisters, Helen Lincoln of Warren and Shirley Paquette of Oxford; three grandchildren, one great grandson, and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Oxford, the daughter of the late Ernest P. and Bessie L. (Stevens) Nelson, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. Mrs. Bundeff worked at Chaffee Brothers in Oxford many years ago. She was a hard-worker, doing everything from farm work to roofing at her own home. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing, nature and fishing. She was always there to help her friends, family and neighbors. A memorial service will be private. Burial will be at a later date. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA of Southern Worcester County, P.O. Box 368, 534 School St., Webster, MA 01570, or to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
