OXFORD – Barbara J. Barrie, 83, of Beverly Street, died Monday, October 14, 2019, at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, David I. Barrie who died in 2008. She is survived by three daughters, Susan G. Rys of Wethersfield, CT, Sheryl A. Parker of Oxford, and Sally L. Belanger-Metzger of South Grafton; her brother, Wayne R. Hall and his wife Suzzane of Worcester; two sisters-in-law, M. Patricia Barrie of West Boylston and Anna Barrie of Murrells Inlet, SC; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Scott D. Barrie who died in 2010. She was born in West Bridgewater, daughter of the late Dwight and Helen M. (Ackerman) Hall, and lived in Holden and Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1968. She graduated from Worcester Girls Trade High School.
Mrs. Barrie owned and operated Big Daddy Tours / Little Daddy Limousine Service in Oxford for 20 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and trips to the casino.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019, at North Cemetery, Main St., Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
