WEBSTER - Barbara L. (Berry) Barnes, 62, of Whitcomb St., died Saturday, February 25, 2012, in her home. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Richard M. Barnes of Webster; two daughters, Jennifer L. Barnes and her husband Danie Peters of Tennessee, and Tracey L. Eggleston and her husband Michael of Webster; a brother, Paul F. Berry of Wallingford, CT; her "adopted" daughters, Kayti Dubuque and her husband Mike of Charlton, and Sara Papa and her husband Joey of Johnston, RI; her aunt, Margaret Berry of Madison, CT; her two best friends, Sharon DeFoer and Nancy McGovern of Oxford; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Dawn E. Barnes. She was born in New Haven, CT, the daughter of the late Paul and Gladys (Geissler) Berry, and lived in Oxford before moving to Webster 10 years ago. She graduated from North Haven High School in 1969. Mrs. Barnes was a cashier at Walmart in North Oxford for over 16 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in North Oxford. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything. She enjoyed spending time with them and shopping for them. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the First Baptist Church, 693 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Oxford. Memorial calling hours are Friday, March 2, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445, or to the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury St., Worcester, Massachusetts 01609.
