Arthur Poulin

OXFORD - Arthur John Poulin, 84, of 137 Orchard Hill Drive, died peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Autumn Village Nursing Home in Worcester. He is survived by his loving sister, Lorraine Bedard of Foxboro; his loving children, Brian Poulin of CT, Kathleen St. Onge and her husband Glenn of CT, Ann Vigeant of ME, Maureen (Poulin) Germain of Oxford, and John Poulin of Webster; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a close friend who was like a daughter to him, Marcy Clark Megarry. He was predeceased by a grandson, Aaron Poulin; and a great grandson, Joseph Matthew Brochu. He was born in Oxford, the son of the late Archie and Clara (Gallant) Poulin. Mr. Poulin was a pharmacist in Southbridge for 40 years before retiring. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, where he served on the U.S.S. Fremont and worked with radar. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4241 in Oxford. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery in Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
