OXFORD - Arthur R. Gagnon, 94, of Lind Street, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Oakwood Nursing Home in Webster. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Leona M. (St. John) Gagnon who died in 2010; and several siblings, including Jeanette Bleau, Rose Wilga, Raymond Gagnon, and Doris LaJeneusse. He is survived by three sisters, Yvette Jolicoeur, Irene Jolicoeur, and Rita LeBoeuf; and several nephews and nieces, including Sheri Wingert. He was born on December 25, 1917, the son of the late Joseph A. and Rose (Turcotte) Gagnon, and lived in Millbury before moving to Oxford many years ago. Mr. Gagnon worked at the former U.S. Envelope Company (currently Westvaco) for 41 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford and enjoyed summers at his home on Glen Echo Lake in Charlton. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Friends and family are respectfully requested to go directly to the church. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. There are no calling hours. Paradis Funeral Home, Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
