WORCESTER – Arthur R. Clark, 78, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at Oakwood Nursing Home in Webster. He is survived by his sister, Myrtle Krukonis of Auburn; four children, Cheryl A. Almstrom and her husband Donald of Oxford, Steven R. Clark and his wife Bonnie of Charlton, Jeffrey R. Clark of Worcester, and Dennis F. Clark and his companion Lynne Smith of Dudley; his former wife, Janet Fadden of Largo, FL; seven grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a grandson, Brian S. Clark; and a brother Robert H. Clark Jr. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Robert and Katherine A. (Doyle) Clark Sr., and was a lifelong resident of Worcester. He graduated from St. Peter's High School in 1949, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Clark retired from Clark Mailing in Worcester, where he worked for many years. He was active in several American Legion Posts, holding office in Paxton Post 306. He was a member of the Honor Guard at the Paxton American Legion Post, and volunteered for the Memorial Day and Flag Day ceremonies at area schools. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be at a later date at St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial calling hours will be Thursday, May 15, 2008, from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oakwood Nursing Home, c/o Residents Activity Fund, 11 Pontiac Ave., Webster, MA 01570.
