Armand Duso

NORTH OXFORD – Armand J. “Peep” Duso, 87, of Leicester Street, died peacefully at home on July 3, 2017. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Cecile O. (Lambert) Duso of North Oxford, who died in 2006. He is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Boucher of North Oxford and Cynthia A. Ramsey and her fiancé John Winters of Oxford; four grandchildren, Aimee Washburn of North Oxford, Jessica Ramsey of Oxford, Richard Boucher of North Oxford, and Joshua Duso of New Hampshire; four great-grandchildren, Julianna Tancrell, Logan Barnes, Olivia Kowalik, and Kaisen Ramsey; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two sons, John R. Duso who died in 2002, and Robert M Duso who died in 2014; a brother, John Duso; and his son-in-law, Wesley Ramsey who died in 2014. He was born in Worcester on July 5, 1929, son of the late Stephen and Ora (Chauvin) Duso, and was a lifelong resident of North Oxford. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Duso was a heavy equipment operator for R.H. White Construction in Auburn for 44 years, retiring in 2000. In addition, he was a member of the Oxford Fire Department for 25 years, retiring as lieutenant. He was a member of St. Ann’s Church in North Oxford.

The family would like to thank Laurie, Angela, and Kelly, for the exceptional care they gave to Armand.

A funeral will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Thursday, July 6, 2017, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
