Anna Coughlin

OXFORD - Anna R. (Astukavicz) Coughlin, 91, of Liberty Lane, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Edward P. Coughlin of Oxford. She is survived by a daughter, Susan A. Boris and her husband Paul of Oxford; four grandchildren, Scott Boris, Amy Nguyen, Katherine McEvilly, and Michael Coughlin; seven great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Paul E. Coughlin of Clinton, who died in 1987; and four brothers and sisters. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Casimir and Pauline N. (Snopka) Astukavicz, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford 58 years ago. Mrs. Coughlin was a member of St. Ann's Church in North Oxford. She was also a member of the Oxford Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing cribbage and participating in yoga. She will be remembered by her family as the best mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. A funeral will be held on Friday, August 20, 2010, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Thursday, August 19, 2010, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
