DOUGLAS – Ann B. (Auger) Hutnak, 79, of Gilboa Street, died Monday, October 10, 2022, at the Blaire House of Milford. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert A. Hutnak of Douglas; her daughter, Michelle A. Cranska of Webster; her stepdaughter, Amy D. Smart of Phoenix, AZ; three brothers, Paul E. Auger of Desert Hot Springs, CA, Louis H. Auger of Washington, and Edward R. Auger of Worcester; a sister, Jeanne T. Eng of Desert Hot Springs, CA; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jeannine E. Cranska; and a sister, Elizabeth M. Smart. She was born in Webster, daughter of the late Hyacinthe L. and Exilda M. (Brideau) Auger, and lived in Oxford before moving to Douglas 43 years ago. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1962.
Mrs. Hutnak was a hairdresser throughout her life. In addition, she worked for several years at Mechanics Bank in Worcester. She had a passion for hairdressing and quilting. Ann loved spending summers at Indian Ranch, traveling, and vacations to Disney. She enjoyed spending time by the pool, going out on the boat, and being with her dog, Chip.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Monday from 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon at the funeral home prior to the service.
