Anita Lynch

OXFORD - Anita (Hartman) Lynch, 92, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, December 19, 2009, at Sunbridge-Sandalwood Nursing Home in Oxford. She was predeceased by her husband of 28 years, Edwin L. Lynch of Oxford, who died in 1968. She is survived by a son, David M. Lynch of Webster; a daughter, Kathleen Lynch of Southbridge; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Josephine Korsak; and five brothers, Peter Hartman, Albert Hartman, William Hartman, John Hartman, and Edward Hartman. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (Matukaitis) Hartman, and lived in Worcester and Auburn before moving to Oxford 50 years ago. She graduated from North High School in Worcester in 1935. Mrs. Lynch was a member of the First Congregational Church in Oxford. She was also a kindergarten teacher, former organist, and choir director at the church. She was the former owner of the Oxford Aquarium on Sutton Avenue in Oxford, and she enjoyed music, knitting, and making jewelry. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Oxford. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday from 10 - 11 a.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service. www.paradisfuneralhome.com
