North Oxford

NORTH OXFORD – Andrea L. (Alkins) Morgan, 79, of Merriam District, died peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Harrington Healthcare at Hubbard Hospital in Webster, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by three children, David M. Morgan and his wife Amy Goodwin of Steamboat Springs, CO, Perrin T. Musselman and her husband Daniel, Tyler A. Morgan-Sanderski and her husband John of North Oxford; a brother, Bruce Alkins; two sisters, Audrey Bownes and Alyse Calder; five grandchildren, Colwyn, Rhys, Teagan, Chase, and Brayton; several nieces and nephews; dearest friends from Thompson, CT, David Boylan, Jim and Rita Raftery, Frank and Barbara McGarry and Patsy Cumbie; and Barabra O’Brien of North Oxford. She was predeceased by a sister, Arlene Clemens.

She was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Arthur and Jennie (Struzinski) Alkins, and lived in Thompson, CT, for many years before moving to North Oxford 12 years ago. She graduated from Jules E Mastbaum High School in 1963.

Ms. Morgan worked for Guaranty Pest Elimination in Danielson, CT, for 20 years prior to retirement.

Andrea will be remembered as a loving, thoughtful and caring woman who was devoted to her family and friends. She was fun! She loved life, shopping and found beauty in everyone she met. She loved music and dancing, and frequently reminisced about her appearances on American Bandstand. She enjoyed long days at the beach and the leaves changing color in the fall. She could wrap presents like no one else-you’d be hesitant to open them because they were so beautiful. She will be greatly missed.

A private graveside service will be held at Lawnview Cemetery in Rockledge, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
