OXFORD - Amy F. (Waters) Grampetro, 89, of Mt. Pleasant St., died Friday, December 14, 2012, at the Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Guido T. Grampetro Sr., who died in 1988. She is survived by her daughter, Amy F. Hanley and her husband Stuart Tully of Oxford; her granddaughter, Aliesha D. Noonan and her husband Robert of North Scituate, RI; her great granddaughter, Kathryn H. Noonan of North Scituate, RI; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Guido T. Grampetro, Jr. of Worcester, who died in 2003; three brothers, Leroy J. Waters, Jr., Lloyd Waters, and Roland Waters; and five sisters, Bertelle Kulakusky, Lila Anderson, Ina DesRosiers, June Czesnowski, and Jeanne Rubin. She was born in Westmoreland, NH, the daughter of the late Leroy J. and Elizabeth V. (Evans) Waters, Sr., and lived in Worcester and Oxford before moving to Florida for 11 years, and back to Oxford in 2001. Mrs. Grampetro was a security guard at Heritage Oaks in Stuart, FL, for 11 years, retiring in 2001. Previously, she was a security guard at Commercial Security in Oxford for 6 years, worked in central supply at Doctor's Hospital in Worcester for 25 years, and worked at Wright's Machine Company in Worcester. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, going to Foxwoods, crossword puzzles, reading, all animals, and especially playing cribbage. She loved cooking and will be remembered as an excellent cook. Mrs. Grampetro and her husband enjoyed their CB radios and participated in R.E.A.C.T. Their radio handles were "Seeing Eye" and the "Blind Bat." A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation Fighting Blindness, P.O. Box 17279, Baltimore, MD 21297-0495.
