OXFORD - Amanda Marie Riopel, 21, died tragically on Saturday, November 10, 2012, from injuries sustained in a car accident. Her "babe" Tyler Menard died with her. She is survived by her son, Austin J. Menard of Oxford; her parents, Brian D. and Donna D. (Cottle) Riopel of Oxford; her brother, Adam B. Riopel of Oxford; her maternal grandparents, Nancy Cottle of Leicester and Arthur Cottle and his wife Kaye of Shrewsbury; her paternal grandparents, Elizabeth Riopel of Millbury and Leo Riopel of Worcester; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was born in Worcester on November 9, 1991, and lived in Sterling before moving to Oxford in 2000. She attended Oxford High School and then the medical assistant program at Grafton Jobs Corps. Amanda was a stay-at-home mom and cared for her son Austin. She loved dancing since she was a child. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with Austin and Tyler, as well as all of her friends. She was an outgoing person and had many friends. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at North Cemetery, 505 Main St., Oxford. Calling hours are Tuesday, November 13, 2012, from 4-8 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Austin J. Menard Memorial Fund, c/o Webster Five Cent Savings Bank, 343 Main Street, Oxford, MA 01540.
