CHARLTON – Alma F. (Caron) Scully, 89, of Lelandville Road, died Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at UMass-Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Timothy Scully who died in 1984. She is survived by four children, Maureen Standring and her husband Glenn of Charlton, Donna Diani and her husband Bob of Dayville, CT, Daniel Scully and his wife Laurie of Sturbridge, and Sean Scully and his wife Nicole of Auburn; a brother, Wilfred Caron of Shrewsbury; a sister, Louise Bresnihan of Newport, ME; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Timothy Scully who died in 1976; two brothers, Eugene Caron and William Caron; two sisters, Alice Dulmaine and Eleanor Fritze; a step brother, Donald Scully; and a step sister, Phyllis Scully. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Henry and Florence (Raymond) Caron, and lived in Millbury, East Longmeadow, Oxford, Auburn, and Sturbridge, before moving to Charlton in 2009. She attended Millbury High School.
Mrs. Scully was a seamstress at Worcester State Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1995. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, and art, including painting and drawing. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022, at St. Joseph Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton. Burial will be at a later date at Hillside Cemetery in Auburn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
