OXFORD – Alice Andersen, 99, died Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Brookside Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Webster. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Arlene Anderson of Worcester; seven nephews and nieces, Ralph, George, Richard, Karen, Lorna, Martha, and her niece and Goddaughter, Mary E. Andersen of Oxford. She was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph and Norman. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Anders and Karen A. (Olsen) Andersen, and lived in Oxford, Worcester, and Millbury, before moving back to Oxford in 1987.
Miss Andersen was a legal secretary at Liberty Mutual for over 40 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Oxford and participated in activities at the Oxford Senior Center. She enjoyed knitting and crossword puzzles.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brookside for their love and kindness.
A private graveside service will be held at North Cemetery in Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, c/o the Altar Guild, 270 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540, or to Brookside Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, c/o the Activities Dept., 11 Pontiac Ave., Webster, MA 01570. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
