CHARLTON - Alfred A. "Bobo" Leite, Sr., 76, of Freeman Road and formerly of Oxford, passed away peacefully at home on October 18, 2012. He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Dianne J. (Diamond) Leite; seven children, Anthony Leite and his wife Deborah, Alfred Leite Jr. and his girlfriend Brenda Bugbee, John Leite, Paula Taylor and her husband Robert, Russell Ryder and his wife Gina, Shawn Ryder and his wife Lori, and Tracy Cote and her husband Randy Anctil; a son-in-law, Julio Albino; four brothers, Adolph A. Leite and his wife Carol of Webster, Albert M. Leite Jr. and his wife Doreen of Charlton, Ernest A. Leite of Dudley, and Michael A. Leite and his wife Marcella of Webster; five sisters, Beatrice M. Cacciapouti of Oxford, Patricia M. Barton and her husband John of Oxford, Theresa M. Brown of Dudley, Rose M. Leite of Webster, and Lisa M. Cormier and her husband David of Potersville, MO; 20 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Lee Albino; and three sisters, Joaninah "Jenny" M. Costa, Mary M. Majewski, and Dianne M. Leite, all of Oxford. He was born in Oxford, the son of the late Alberto M. and Margorie M. (Dexter) Leite, Sr., and lived in Oxford before moving to Charlton 38 years ago. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Leite was a truck driver for George Saad and Sons for several years, retiring in 2004. Previously, he worked at Gordon Chemicals for many years. He was a lifetime member and bar manager of the Charlton Beagle Club. He was a member of the Charlton AMVETS, the V.F.W. Post 6342 in North Smithfield, RI, and the Hope Christian Fellowship in Charlton. His favorite pastimes were those spent with family and friends. He loved hunting, playing cards, and puzzles. He enjoyed collecting cans. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at the Oak Hill Bible Church, 40 Sacarrappa Rd, Oxford. Burial will follow at Westridge Cemetery in Charlton. Calling hours are Tuesday, October 23, 2012, from 4-8 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Overlook Masonic Hospice, P. O. Box 1000, Charlton, MA 01507.
