Alexander Pariseau

OXFORD - Alexander E. Pariseau, 94, of Walcott Street, died Friday, July 22, 2011, at the Life Care Center of Auburn. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Irene V. (Messier) Pariseau who died in 2004. He is survived by a daughter, Paulette J. Williamson and her husband Sven of Oxford; two granddaughters, Andrea Cortese and her husband David of Douglas, and Carla Williamson and her fiancé William Taylor of Douglas; two great grandsons, Alex and Ben; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Elmer R. and Phoebe (Martel) Pariseau, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1932. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School in Worcester in 1934, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Pariseau was a mechanic at the J.J. Nissan Bakery for 10 years, retiring in 1980. Previously, he worked at Max's Service Station in Oxford for 5 years, McCarthy Motor Sales in Oxford for 15 years, and was a door-to-door bakery salesman for 12 years. He was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford and was a member of the American Legion Post 58 in Oxford. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2011, at North Cemetery, Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Roch's Church, 334 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540. Paradis Funeral Home, Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
