SOUTHBRIDGE – Albert E. Mason II, 66, of Water Street, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016, in his home. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marilyn J. (Davis) Mason of Southbridge; two children, Ayla S. Mason and her wife Rebekah of Southbridge, and Kathryn O. Young of Webster; a brother, Daniel Mason of Warren; three sisters, Josephine Hazzard of Southbridge, Debra Chapman of Sturbridge, and Merrily Mason of Webster; six grandchildren, Alyssa Young, Thomas Young, Brett Young, Tylor McCracken, Cody McCracken, and Rachel Parron; two great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Eric Mason who died in 2015. He was born Springfield, son of the late Adolph and Kathryn (Cass) Mason, and lived in Webster and Oxford before moving to Southbridge 10 years ago.

Mr. Mason was a car salesman for Place Motors in Webster before retiring in 2001. He was an E.M.T. working for several ambulance services many years ago. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.

Memorial calling hours are Thursday, September 1, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A prayer service with remembrances from the family will be held at 8 p.m. at the conclusion of the calling hours. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, 18251 Quantico Gateway Dr., Triangle, VA 22172.
