OXFORD - Albert J. Beaudette, 84, of Rocky Hill Road, died surrounded by his family on Friday, June 5, 2009, in his home after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Roselyn (Mitchell) Beaudette of Oxford; two sons, Peter Beaudette and his wife Carol of Moosup, CT, and Paul Beaudette and his wife Judy of Louisiana; two daughters, Robin King and her husband George of Sutton, and Rhonda Dziembowski and her husband Ronald of Dudley; seven grandchildren, Dawn, Brandie, Amy, Kelly, Justin, Joshua, and Lisa; six great grandchildren, Rylie, Harlie, Logan, Amelia, Evan, and Landon; a brother, Arthur Beaudette; and four sisters, Genevieve St. Cyr, Marie Hadley, Doris McDonald, and Delia Groleau. He was predeceased by five brothers, Charles, Norman, Roger, Ronald, and Robert Beaudette. He was born in North Oxford, the son of the late Arthur and Josephine (Gallant) Beaudette, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. Mr. Beaudette was a truck driver for Krintzman Dusting Co. in North Oxford for 35 years, retiring in 1990. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 339th Infantry and receiving the Purple Heart for wounds suffered in battle. Mr. Beaudette was a leader and volunteer for 4-H. He enjoyed camping and was an avid horseman. A military graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2009, at St. Roch's Cemetery, Federal Hill Road, Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Fire Dept., c/o the Ambulance Fund, 181 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540, or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
