Abigail Benway

OXFORD - Abigail Jane Benway, 7, died suddenly on Saturday, July 28, 2012. She is survived by her mother, Kelleen J. (Plantier) Benway of Oxford; her brother, Owen K. Benway of Oxford; her sister, Nickole M. Goding of Worcester; her maternal grandmother, Janice M. Charter of Brimfield; her maternal grandfather, Donald A. Plantier and his wife Marjorie of Palmer; her paternal grandmother, Antoinette Benway of Oxford; her maternal great grandfather, Lester B. Collins of West Warren, an aunt, two uncles, her godfather, many cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Kenneth Benway. Her father Daryl J. Benway also passed away. Abigail completed 1st grade at the Chaffee School in Oxford this past June. She was a member of Girl Scout Troop 30545 in Oxford. She enjoyed all types of crafts, beading, gardening, dancing, and playing dress-up. It is certain that Abby is in God's loving arms and at peace, always with her loved ones and friends who she touched with her kindness. She lived a beautiful life full of love, and we are thankful for the blessing that she is. The thought of never holding her or smelling her sweetness again is unbearable, but we want to try to appreciate the time she was with us and all the joy she shared with all of us. She will be in our hearts forever and never be forgotten - our precious irreplaceable angel, joyous sister, bright granddaughter, and loyal loving friend. Calling hours are Thursday, August 9, 2012, from 2-6 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A private funeral service will be held at the First Congregational Church in Oxford. The family respectfully requests their privacy at the church service. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in West Brookfield.
